I Have A Dream....and It's Absurd!

Since nothing exciting happens in my real life I'll try to amuse you with my dreams.

Last night's dream:

It somehow came to my attention that my dear friend's dear mother-in-law Carol was feeling overwhelmed. So overwhelmed, in fact, that she had not been able to sweep her porch in weeks. I thought to myself....I should go over there and sweep her porch. Wouldn't that make me awesome? So I set out walking to her house, broom in hand, and arrive on a pogo stick.

I'm in the driveway doing a whole lot of nothing when her daughter Sandy arrives. Suddenly I'm embarassed because I've been caught doing my good deed. Sandy opens the garage, pulls up, and I scurry off trying to pretend like I was never there and she never saw me. That didn't work. I tell Sandy I'm there to sweep and she replies, "They're not leaves, they're St. Patrick's Day decorationis." I look down to see many green foil clovers on the pavement. Whoops. Color me embarassed.

Sandy leaves to go inside the house and I go back to my business. The business of sweeping. So I'm sweeping and sweeping and sweeping. I'm not collecting the leaves or foil clovers I'm just brushing them under the shrubs. I want to help but apparently not that much. Suddenly the entire Bennett family comes out of the house and I am once again humiliated. I run away with my broom, the pogo stick has disappeared, and my car has shown up. Awesome. I jump in and drive away only to hear someone say, "Does she think we can't see her?".

The end.

*NOTE: I just realized that my preface to my dream recap was that this was more interesting than my real life. A dream about sweeping leaves....Oy!
