Miley Cyrus has shown her support for gay rights in a very special way: she's gotten a new tattoo. This is the seventh tattoo for the 18-year old singer.

Along with this photo Miley tweeted, "All LOVE is equal." Referring to The All Love is Equal campaign from the Gay & Lesbian Rigths Lobby. Miley has made her stance regarding gay rights known a number of times before, tweeting earlier this month - when Casey Anthony was aquitted for the murder of her daughter Caylee - "You know the world is skewed when people get away with murdering children, but we cant get gay marriage legalized in the state of California."

The Equal symbol is Miley's second tattoo in little over two months time. She got an anchor tattoo when touring in Brazil on her Gypsy Heart tour. Miley's first tattoo were the words Just Breathe on the left side of her chest. She also has the outline of a heart on her pinky finger and a cross on the inside of her ring finger, both on her right hand. Then there's the Love tattoo on the inside of her ear, and a dream catcher on the right side of her ribcage.

Westlife singer Kian Egan is going to be a dad!

Westlife singer Kian Egan and his wife Jodi Albert are expecting their first child. The 31-year old heartthrob tweeted, "Myself and my wife @Jodi Wonderland are delighted to say we are expecting our first baby! We are so happy and cannot wait to be parents x"

Kian and Jodi, 28, married on Turtle Beach in the Caribbean in May 2009, having been together for five years then. Since then Kian has been working hard for Westlife, but also as a manager to the former Hollyoaks actress's girlband Parade.

A due date wasn't announced.

It's still in the midst of summer, but Victoria's Secret has already released photos of Victoria's Angel Candice Swanepoel in Halloween costumes. Well, costumes... Halloween underwear. The 22-year old South-African model is photographed in some very sexy outfits for the lingerie line's new Halloween collection, from sexy sailor, to devil, to sexy santa, it all looks fabulous on Candice.

Candice, who recently was under heavy scrutiny for having dropped a significant amount of weight, also confirms that she's back to her old weight. Candice herself has always insisted that she's healthy, despite her size and the lost pounds. In an interview with ABC News during New York Fashion week this year, she said, "Actually, this year my problem has been more putting on weight and getting muscle on, becuase it's been really busy. I've been travelling around like crazy. I get skinnier if I'm very busy." Luckily, these shots show that she's no longer as skinny as she was three months ago, when she looked like a shadow of her former self.

Candice was discovered at age 15 at a Durban flea market and has since appeared on the covers of Vogue and Elle, and has featured in campaigns for Diesel, Nike and Guess. She's also a runway model and besides Victoria's Secret she has also walked shows for Tommy Hilfiger, Dolce and Gabbanna, and Diane von Furstenberg. Candice has been a Victoria's Angel since April 2010.

Alexa Chung and her boyfriend of four years, Arctic Monkeys frontman, Alex Turner have called it quits. Break up rumours started swirling around at the start of this month, when Alexa and Alex were in London for the iTunes Festival. The Arctic Monkeys performed and Alexa presented the Festival at the Roundhouse in Camden. However, the two weren't spotted together, apart from on stage. At the time, they denied their split.

Friends of the former couple now say that they're through, "Alexa has moved all her stuff out and is concentrating on getting her American TV career back on track. Alex has gigs in America next month, but none of them are on the East Coast." The friends conclude with, "They are very busy and have grown apart, but want to keep the news quiet."

Alexa her rep confirmed the break up, saying, "Sadly, Alexa and Alex have split, although they remain close."

Mike Tindall and Zara Philips's wedding was a private affair, nevertheless, since it was a royal wedding, many well-wishers had gathered outside of Canongate Kirk yesterday, to catch a glimpse of the wedding party. Mike and Zara did not disappoint the well-wishers, when they came out of the church as husband and wife, after a 45-minute ceremony, they recreated their own 'balcony-scene-kiss-minus-the-balcony'. The crowd was delighted. After the ceremony the wedding party headed to Holyroodhouse for the evening reception.

Reverend Neil Gardener wed the couple in the 17th century Canongate Kirk, the official kirk of the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Zara wore an ivory dress by Edinburgh-trained designer Stewart Parvin, a favourite designer of Queen Elizabeth. The gown had a chevron pleated bodice, that ended in inverted pleats on a dropped waist, thus creating a bell-shaped silhouette. It included a concealed structured corset, a short train and silk tulle straps that fell into a V-shape at the back. She wore it with a silk veil and The Meander Tiara, lent to Zara by her mother Princess Anne.The bridesmaids wore ivory dresses, the youngest bridesmaids' dresses had tulle skirts. The maid of honour wore a dove grey dress.

Zara arrived with her father, Captain Mark Philips, by car. He got out of the car first and opened the car door for his daughter. As they walked to the church, Zara briefly turned around and waved at the crowd. Then Zara and her father were greeted by Reverend Neil Gardner and went inside the 17th century church. Zara's elder brother Peter was an usher and greeted guests by the entrance of the Kirk.

Mike looked dapper in a black jacket, grey pinstriped trousers, a grey waistcoat, white shirt and grey tie. Mike seemed completely relaxed and smiled and waved at the photographers and the crowd.

Among the first guests to arrive was Zara's mother, the Princess Royal, Princess Anne. Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, were also in attendance, as well as Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Queen Elizabeth, and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Duchess Catherine of Cambridge. The Earl and Countess of Strathearn, William and Kate's Scottish titles, looked wonderful. Kate wore a beautiful champagne-coloured embroidered coat over her dress, that was gorgeous enough to keep on all night. She paired the dress and coat with nude pumps and a hat with floral detail.

After the ceremony Zara and Mike posed for photographers outside the church, whilst the crowd cheered.


The reception took place at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Queen's official Scottish home. It is expected that best man Iain Balshaw has given his best man's speech there. Mike and Iain are both rugby players, having played together for the Gloucester and England team.

Zara is thought to be setting a royal precedent by not taking her husband's last name. Brides of the royal family have always taken the surnames of their spouses, be they royal or not. According to the Daily Mail  Zara is keeping her own surname based on the fact that "she wants to preserve her sporting persona and her business interests."

Movie Review: Friends With Benefits

Friends With Benefits is the Justin Timberlake/Mila Kunis version of No Strings Attached (Natalie Portman/Ashton Kutcher) which came out in the spring. Both movies feature pretty people, slick dialogue, ultra trendy lives, and absolutely nothing new or original. For my four dollar matinee, I was amused and the theater's air conditioning was cranking (crucial on Day 25 over 100 degrees in Texas). However, I'd hoped for something more.

Here's the writing analysis of this review: Rather than being drawn into the movie, I found myself thinking "No one really talks that way" and "Oh, the dirty language wasn't necessary there." I'm no prude, but it felt forced. Watching movies, I want to escape, and so I hold the writing to a higher standard. Part of the problem with movie comedies these days is the television comedies are better, especially on cable channels. They are smart packages with snarky dialogue and often racy themes. Consequently, a film like Friends With Benefits has to try harder to appear cool and wicked sharp, and whatever the nifty lingo is today. It's tough to pull off.

That said, I was entertained and I did laugh at various lines. Justin and Mila looked like they had fun together, trying to be just "friends" enjoying "benefits" (wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more). New York has never looked better. The characters enjoy spiffy jobs, spacious apartments, and breeze in and out of the most awesome places.

Mila's spacy mom shows up - Patricia Clarkson is the go-to actress for wifty wisdom. I found her character annoying, because Clarkson is such a good actress and deserves better. Justin's scenes back in Los Angeles with family were better. His father, played by Richard Jenkins, is declining due to Alzheimer's. Excellent actor and those home scenes were touching and demonstrated how this movie could have been raised to a higher level.

Summer fluff trying to be edgy. Go re-watch Midnight in Paris instead. That's clever writing.

Last Friday Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries stopped by Hansen Cakes in L.A. for a wedding cake tasting session. Kim, who recently upped her exercise regime to be in killer shape for the wedding, made time - and calories - to find the perfect cake for the big day. Mum's the word on whether or not they've found the right cake, or that they'll go back for another tasting - I know which option I'd pick - however, their tasting sure looks fun!

A source confides in US Magazine and says that Kim stopped by Mark's Garden - a high-end florist in Sherman Oaks, California - to discuss flower arrangements. Something that the source couldn't say was which designer is creating Kim's dress. Kim and sister Khloe were spotted at Vera Wang's NYC store last month, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Khloe, who wore a Vera Wang on her wedding day, has said on the topic, "I hope she does [design Kim's wedding gown too]. Just because I love her, and I feel like when you think of weddings, you think of Vera Wang. It would be a perfect fit."

When the wedding invite  that recently surfaced is authentic, we'll have to wait until August 20th in order to find out what Kim will be wearing and what wedding cake the couple chose.

A Very Disturbing Find At Pathmark

So I had to take a George while at Pathmark the other week (don't ask), and I spotted a stray butcher sticker inside the stall:


Now, I don't need to tell you this is disgusting on a couple of levels here:

• that somebody saw fit to bring unpaid merchandise into a bathroom stall
• that the item they saw fit to bring into the poop stall was apparently RAW MEAT
• that the sticker itself doesn't specify anything beyond "MEAT" with "ALL THE INGREDIENTS"

Mike Tindall and Zara Philips are husband and wife. The couple married today at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh, Scotland. US Magazine was the first to post this photo of the newlyweds AND Zara's dress. According to CNN is the designer of Zara's ivory wedding gown Stewart Parvin. Parvin is one of Queen Elizabeth's favourite designers.

Zara and Mike's wedding is a private affair, but many well-wishers had gathered outside the church to cheer for the newlyweds and other royal attendants, including Prince William and Kate, Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Queen Elizabeth, and Zara's mother the Princess Royal (Princess Anne).

After the ceremony the guests will go back to Holyroodhouse for the reception.

Roy Maurice Mayorga nació el 6 de abril de 1970 en New York. Tiene ascendencia latina. Poco se conoce de su vida personal, por lo tanto nos centraremos en lo importante, su vida profesional. Su primer banda fue Nausea, un importante grupo neoyorquino de los 80 y 90. Con esta banda hizo su primera gira por Europa y grabó su primer álbum en 1989 con apenas 19 años. En el año 1996 participó en la banda Shelter, también neoyorquina para ya en 1997 empezar a ser reconocido a nivel internacional al ser el batería original de Soulfly. Dos años más tarde se iría del grupo y entraría en otro proyecto, Medication. Tampoco fue este el movimiento definitivo ya que en 2001 volvería otra vez a Soulfly para marcharse definitivamente en 2003. En 2004 formaría ABLOOM, banda actualmente parada pero con intención de reactivarla en un futuro.
En 2005 participó en el disco publicado por la Roadrunner con alguna de las estrellas más importantes de la discográfica.
En 2006 fue el batería temporal de Sepultura en la gira europea que la banda dio con In Flames.
El 10 de mayo de 2006, Roy se une a la banda de metal alternativo Stone Sour en donde continúa actualmente.
En 2008 se unió al grupo de punk Amebix.
Además de batería, Roy es también productor e ingeniero de sonido.
Entre sus aficiones está el cine clásico, él es un buen crítico.
Este año 2011, durante la gira con Stone Sour, sufrió un ataque isquémico transitorio conocido vulgarmente como "mini-derrame cerebral" que le hizo ser ingresado urgentemente en un hospital. La banda canceló la gira dada la baja del batería. Por suerte, se recuperó favorablemente.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong and her soon-to-be-ex-husband Russell are being sued by MyMedicalRecords.com for more than $1.5 million USD for breach of contract.

MyMedicalRecords.com filed a lawsuit on Friday in an L.A. Superior Court. The company claims that the Armstrong's misled people into believing that they were investing in the company. They claim that the Armstrong's have pocketed over $1 million USD. The company says they've used that money to "live a lavish lifestyle."

These claims come shortly after Taylor, 40, filed for divorce from Russell and her claims that he verbally and physically abused her during their marriage.

Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth's honeymoon continues in Positano, Italy

From the streets of Paris to the Amalfi coast. Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth have arrived in the seaside town of Positano, Italy, on their honeymoon.

The newlyweds took in the sights of picturesque Positano on a boat ride to sea and on a shopping spree. Then they went to have a bite to eat at La Caravella, a popular eatery, where they "held hands and spoon-fed each other," according to a People Magazine observer. The observer also said, "Lovebirds - that's how I would describe them." The owner of the restaurant shared what Reese ate, "Mrs. Witherspoon ordered lemon leaf stuffed with fennel shredded fish, grilled and served with fennel; homemade cutlet pasta with ricotta cheese; buffalo ricotta cheese and pear with Aglianico wine and raw squids." To drink "the pair drank a very serious wine," the owner says, "the type that only connoisseurs would order."

Amy Smart and Carter Oosterhouse have set a wedding date

Actress Amy Smart and tv-handyman Carter Oosterhouse are getting married in little over a month. Amy, 35, told US Magazine, "We're getting married September 10. We've had about five months for planning, so it's more condensed than normal, but it's kind of perfect because it feels like we have the momentum."

The couple are going to have a "rustic" ceremony in northern Michigan. "He's from there and my parents live there, so it's been my second home since I was very young," Amy said about the choice of location. "I'm excited to get married!" The couple has invited around 200 guests to celebrate their nuptials.

Amy and Carter,34, met by chance at a green-charity event in November 2010. The couple was first spotted 'out and about' in January 2011. Five months into their relationship they confirmed their engagement.

Ali Landry is nesting, whilst daughter Estela is on holiday

Ali Landry is preparing for the October arrival of her second child with husband Alejandro Monteverde and she is in nesting mode. Ali, 38, is making up for being unable to nest when pregnant with 4-year old daughter Estela Ines, when the couple was busy remodelling their house. "I am in major nesting mode right now in this pregnancy. I have touched every single corner, every single drawer in my house," she says. "It just feels so good to get your house organized and clean, especially with the phase that I’m in now."

Ali also has all the time in the world to nest, because daughter Estela is living the good life with grandma in Louisiana. Estela is having such a good time on holiday that, "I have to threaten her to talk to her. I have to say, 'I’m going to come and get you if you don’t talk to me on the phone!' Ali told People Magazine. I asked her the other day, 'Are you ready for Mommy to come get you?' and she said, 'Not yet … It’s a little late tonight. I need to go to sleep.'"

Kick-Ass star Aaron Johnson and his fiancée, filmmaker Sam Taylor-Wood are expecting their second child.

The relationship between 21-year old Aaron and 44-year old Sam raised some eyebrows, because of their 23-year age difference. Aaron has defended their relationship in the past by saying, "I've got a wonderful woman. I'm an old soul and she's a young soul." The couple met on the set off Nowhere Boy in 2009.

The new baby will join daughter Wylda Rae, who just turned one, and Angelica, 14, and Jessie Phoenix, 4, Sam's children from her first marriage to art dealer Jay Jopling.

New mom Ivanka Trump gave birth to daughter Arabella Rose two weeks ago and she's enjoying life as a mommy to the fullest. She recently tweeted, "The is nothing better in life than playing with a well fed baby first thing in the morning." She also reads books to Arabella, "Love the Black & White book by Hoben. Arabella will just stare at the pictures totally memorized! I joke that my baby is less than 2 wks old & already literate!"

Even though Ivanka, 29, experienced separation anxiety when she ventured into the office for a few hours on Monday, she and husband Jared Kushner made sure to have a date-night this week. Thursday she tweeted, "Just enjoyed my first night out of the house since Arabella and I came home from the hospital. I had a great date with my husband!"

Actor G. D. Spralin Passes On

Character actor G. D. Spralin passed on 24 July 2011 at the age of 90.

He was born Gervase Duan Spradlin on 31 April 1920 in Paul's Valley, Oklahoma. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in education. Afterwards he taught history. During World War II he served in the Army Air Force as an air traffic controller in China. Following the war he earned a degree in law from the University of Oklahoma. He became the head of the legal department in Caracas, Venezuela for the Phillips Petroleum Company, then later joined forces with a geologist to drill their own wells. Making a good deal of money, he retired in 1960.

Mr. Spralin developed an interest in acting while watching his daughter perform in local plays. He soon began to act in plays himself and eventually moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. He made his television debut in an episode of The Iron Horse in 1966. During the Sixties he appeared in such shows as Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C., Pistols 'n' Petticoats, Run For Your Life, I Spy, The Big Valley, Mannix, Bonanza, and The Virginian. He made his movie debut in Will Penny in 1968. He also appeared in Tora, Tora, Tora (1970) and Monte Walsh (1970).

In the Seventies he appeared on such shows as Alias Smith and Jones, Kung Fu, Hec Ramsey, Search, Adam 12, and Columbo. He appeared in the movies The Hunting Party (1971), The Only Way Home (1972), The Godfather Part II (1974), Apocalypse Now (1979), North Dallas Forty (1979), and The Formula (1980). From the Eighties into the Nineties he appeared in such movies as Wrong is Right (1982), The Lords of Discipline (1983), Tank (1984), The War of the Roses (1989), , Ed Wood (1994), Canadian Bacon (1995), and Dick (1999). He appeared on such shows as Hallmark Hall of Fame and Dark Skies.

David Beckham would love to add one more baby to his brood

Little Harper Seven Beckham is only two weeks old, but David Beckham has already made known that he and Victoria would love to have a fifth child.

David, 36, told the Associated Press, "We'd love one more. We've always said we'd love a big family and five was a number. If we're lucky enough, then we hope to have one more." Harper Seven has three older brothers, Brooklyn, 12, Romeo 8 1/2, and Cruz, 6 1/2.

David and Victoria, 37, welcomed their daughter into their family on July 10th and the proud father says that Harper's older brothers are completely smitten with her. "All the boys won't leave her alone, which is amazing." David adds, "It's different having a little girl. She's elegant."

DeAndre Cortez Way, a.k.a. Soulja Boy, turned 21 on Thursday, and he's celebrating it BIG. The Crank That (Soulja Boy) and Turn My Swag On rapper bought himself a private jet. Costs? A whopping $55 million.

You know... It's like.. I REALLY wanted it.. and.. you know.. I figured.. Fuck it. I'll do it. I'm going to buy myself a birthday gift, and I'm giving myself a plane... You know what I'm saying? - Or so I imagine were Soulja Boy's thoughts.

The birthday boy spent $35 million on the actual Gulfstream G5 jet and is spending another $20 million on upgrades. Improvements include custom Italian leather seats, flat screen TVs, four liquor bars (imagine that you run out of wodka/beer/courvoisier/crystal), a customized travertine-tiled floor, and Brazilian hardwood cabinets. Also included in the $20 million? A paint job of the exterior of the plane, that will feature his logo.

In honour of his birthday Soulja is throwing a birthday bash in Miami tonight, Friday July 29th, that reportedly cost him about $300,000. Sean Kingston, Bow Wow and Dwight Howard have been invited, but if you haven't received an invite you can watch - for free - the event go down on his website.

Country singer Randy Houser and singer-songwriter Jessa Lee Yantz are engaged. Randy, 34, and Jessa, 29, are planning a wedding in the Dominican Republic.

The country star told People Magazine, "I finally found the person that I can't be without. Jessa makes me a better person every day, and I look forward to spending the rest of my life with her."

Engagement rumours started to swirl on July 22nd, when Jessa's sister Alicia tweeted her congratulations. Thursday Jessa herself tweeted, "Went wedding dress shopping today... First dress I tried on was 'the one!' Perfection about sums it up!" Earlier this week she tweeted a love-tweet as well, "I'm a good-hearted woman loving a good-hearted man. Now THAT'S a match made in heaven. Lucky in love."

Zara Philips and Mike Tindall are set to marry tomorrow, Saturday July 30th, in Edinburgh, Scotland. The ceremony will begin at 3 p.m.

Tonight, on the 30th anniversary of the marriage of Prince Charles and Princess Diana - Zara's uncle and aunt-, guests are gathering together. The younger guests are expected to party on the Royal Yacht Britannia, a retired vessel of the Windsor's, that's now docked in Leith.

Zara, daughter of the Princess Royal, and rugby player Mike announced their engagement in Decemeber. Their wedding wil be very different from that of Prince William and Kate in April - fyi: William and Kate a.k.a the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will go by their Scottish titles whilst in Scotland: the Earl and Countess of Strathearn - Zara and Mike will have their festivities in a palace, the Holyroodhouse, but their won't be any tv camera's, no wedding mugs and other memorabilia, nor a crowd lining the streets. There won't be horse-drawn carriages either, the wedding party will leave Holyroodhouse by car and return in a fleet of luxury vehicles after the ceremony.

Zara is said to be wearing a wedding gown by Stuart Parvin, but her reps won't confirm this rumour. Also, the only known member of the wedding party is best man Iain Balshaw. What is certain is that the almost newlyweds will forego a honeymoon, for now. Zara has commitments regarding her career as an equestrian - she's a show-jumper - and Mike has to be back at the England rugby training camp on Monday.

Beyoncé's 'House of Deréon' fashion line to be available in London

Beyoncé, her alter ego Sasha Fierce, and Beyoncé's mom Tina Knowles are hardcore fashion lovers and therfore, Beyoncé and Tina - who made many of the fierce outfits for Destiny's Child, back in the day - started their own clothing line, called House of Deréon, in 2005.

The line gets its name from Beyoncé's grandmother Agnéz Deréon, who was born in Louisiana in 1924. Agnéz was a dressmaker, who made custom-made clothing for private clients all throughout the South. Both Beyoncé and her mother call her "a true Renaissance woman."

Beyoncé is her mothers muse. Tina has said that her daughter is the perfect muse, because of "her sense of style that's unmatched and her chameleon-like take on fashion that's ever changing." Beyoncé collaborates with her mother on every aspect of the line.

From this September onwards, their House of Deréon collection will be available in London. This is a UK's first for Selfridges, where the collection will hit the racks. The autumn/winter 2011 collection is inspired by the "city jungle", with lots of leopard, snake and African rose prints, mixed with "tribal cues with edgy silhouettes." - I say, take a look at the brochure, because it's hard to paint a picture from that description.- Prices start at around £80 for a dress. Tina has said, "Beyoncé and I are so proud of the line-up and we can't wait to see the consumer's response and how she makes it her own."

Jessica Alba: Honor is ready to be an adult

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren will be adding to their brood "very soon" - which might imply that the due date of her baby is not in September -, but her 3-year old daughter Honor Marie is ready to be an adult.

Monday, when on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jessica, 30, said, "She's exited, she says she's going to actually be the mommy. I'm going to be the grandma. That's the way she phrases it," and she continued with, "My girlfriend asked her, 'Are you excited about being a big sister?' And she's like, 'Yeah, because I'm going to be a grown-up. I'm going to drink vino and drive.'" After which she joked, that she and Cash make for "great examples as parents."

Honor is going on adult, but there's still a thing or two that she'll need permission for. "I had to explain to her that only certain types of girls are allowed to wear plastic heels outdoors. So she's allowed to only wear her princess plastic heels indoors. I can't really tell her why yet!" Jessica told Jay.

Also, the couple tends to give their daughter timeouts - they "don't believe" in spankings or punishments -, and Honor's not a fan of them. Jessica says, "We give her timeouts whenever she’s naughty. She says, 'Am I getting a timeout in the bathroom with the lights off?' Because just timeout in the bathroom isn’t bad enough and even though she’s in a lit bathroom that has big windows … it makes it seem that much worse. I’m like, 'You’re going to have timeout in the bathroom,' and then I’m like, 'With the lights off!'"

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries will wed August 20th. TMZ managed to get their hands on an invitation and has shared the news with the rest of the world, meaning that Kim who recently said that she wanted to keep her wedding as private as possible are shattered - then again, I'd think that a camera crew present at all time isn't very private either.

True to tradition the bride's family - or in this case her mom Kris and step-dad Bruce Jenner - are hosting the event. In sweeping letters the invite states, "Kris and Bruce Jenner request the pleasure of your company at the marriage of their daughter Kimberly Kardashian to Kristopher Humphries." The wedding will take place in Montecito, nearby Oprah's estate. There's also a dresscode: black tie.

Nicky Hilton and David Katzenberg have split up, according to New York Post's Page Six. A friend tells the newspaper, "They broke up quietly after four years together. The main was that they have been busy with their work schedules, and it has made it difficult to spend time together." The friend continues, "Nicky has been back and forth travelling overseas a lot with her business. She has recently been in Asia promoting her jewelry line, and David is starting a new production company. Their schedules never seemed to match."

Nicky, 27, and David, 28, "remain close friends. They have been friends since they were teenagers." Nicky has been leaning on sister Paris after the break up from the The Hard Times of RJ Berger creator. She is quoted by US Magazine as saying, "Paris has a house in Malibu, so I've just been spending time relaxing there. Paris and I are going to go to the South of France next week for some business and pleasure."

Olivia Wilde: the Jonas Brothers put a 'no sex hex' on my house!

Olivia Wilde blames the Jonas Brothers for her single life. The actress, who in recent months has been linked to Ryan Gosling, Justin Timberlake and Bradley Cooper, live in the house previously owned by the Jonas Brothers.

Olivia appeared in Jimmy Kimmel Live last Wednesday, when she said that the brothers left some "life-size cardboard cutouts" of themselves in the garage. She joked, "I didn't even have to pay extra. Sometimes I wake up, and my roommate has placed one standing over me."

Jimmy Kimmel then asked her, "Is it comforting knowing there's a cardboard virgin watching over you at all times?" Without batting an eye, she quipped, "Yes, it is comforting. Later that evening Olivia tweeted, "Kimmel was a blast. Hope the Jonas Brothers don't sue me!"

Ian Somerhalder testifies before Congress for wildlife conversation

The dashing Ian Somerhalder just became more swoon-worthy. The 32-year old Vampire Diaries actor - a.k.a. vampire Damon - testified for wildlife conversation before the American Congress on Thursday. Ian is head of the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, that "focuses its work around three themes: habitat conservation, species protection and clean energy initiatives," in order for people to positively impact the planet and all its inhabitants. Ian has said that, "Wildlife and environmental conservation has always been not just a passion, but a priority of mine," he said.

Ian showed statistics about endangered tigers, rhinos, elephants, marine turtles and apes, in order to get the Congress to consider H.R. 50, a multinational special conversation funds reathorisation act. "Species conversation is beyond a doubt an issue that truly matters to the American public," he said. "We're lucky in this case, because many of our most beloved wildlife species are clinging to survival by a thread."

How wonderful that Ian is such a dedicated man!

Dutch presenter, actress and model Nicolette van Dam and her boyfriend Bas Smit are expecting their first baby. Nicolette, 26, tells Dutch newspaper de Telegraaf, "Bas and I are super happy."

Shortly after Nicolette went off birth control she got pregnant. "I felt it and had already told my mother, but when we saw the result of the pregnancy test, Bas and I yelled to each other, 'How bizar! It's really true, we're having a baby!'"

The show host says about her pregnancy, "I don't suffer from morning sickness, but I do notice that I'm tired more often."

The Smit-van Dam baby is expected in February 2012.

SCARLETT TURNS DOWN MARINE BALL INVITATION: SCARLETT JOHANSSON is the latest celeb to receive an invitation to a Marine ball, and the latest to politely decline.

In a recent YouTube video, Sgt. Dustin L. Williams asked Scarlett to be his date for the November 10th event, but Scarlett said no, and sent him some champagne as well as her gratitude instead.

Meanwhile ... "Terminator" LINDA HAMILTON is going to the Marine Corps Ball with Sergeant Ray Lewis. Lewis was the one who did a video asking BETTY WHITE to accompany him, but she'll be busy filming her sitcom "Hot in Cleveland" so she had to turn him down.

Linda jumped in and made a video of her own, offering to go with Ray in Betty's place. And he accepted.

Jessica Simpson is still 'wedding dress'-less

Jessica Simpson knows exactly what she wants in a wedding dress, but it seems that it's hard to find. She tells Extra that, "I don't have a dress yet." However, Jessica, who has a billion dollar fashion empire, is going to be involved in the designing process, "The dress is going to be amazing." In regard to her wedding date she keeps mum, "I've heard people throw around dates and not one of them has nailed it. Not even close." About her wedding to Eric Johnson, she says, "It should be a celebration like should all be having fun, every single person there."

For now it seems as if she's focussing on her new tv-show Fashion Star. Jessica's role is to guide and be a mentor to aspiring designers on their quest for a multimillion dollar contract that will allow them to launch their own brand. "It's a fun show to be a part of and we all get to dress up," Jessica said.

America Co-Founder Dan Peek Passes On

Dan Peek, who co-founded the rock group America with Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell, passed on 24 July 2011 at the age of 60. The cause has yet to be determined.

Dan Peek was born 1 November 1950 in Panama City, Florida. Mr. Peek's father was a United States Air Force officer, so that he spent his childhood in such places as Japan and Pakistan. It was when Mr. Peek was a teenager that his father was stationed in England. There he met fellow Americans Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell at London Central High School. Their fathers were also in the military. The three sang together until Mr. Peek returned to the United States to attend Old Dominion University in Virginia. He returned to England a year later and the three began performing together again. To insure that everyone realised they were an American band, they simply called themselves "America."

In March 1971 America was signed to the UK Warner Brothers label. Their first album, released in 1971, did only moderately well.  The single "Horse With No Name" would prove to be very successful, however, so that the album was re-released with the the single added to it, and went platinum. The trio would release six over the next several years:  Homecoming, Hat Trick, Holiday, Hearts, Hideaway, and Harbour. Their albums sold very well, with all but Hat Trick  and Harbour hitting the top twenty. In addition to "Horse with No Name" their hit songs would include "I Need You," "Ventura Highway," ""Tin Man," and "Sister Golden Hair." While Dan Peek wrote some of America's singles, including "Don't Cross The River,", "Lonely People (which went to #5 on the Billboard Hot 100)," "Woman Tonight,", and "Today's the Day," and "Today's the Day."

In 1977, not long after the release of Harbour, Dan Peek left America, having become a "born again" Christian. He would go onto become a pioneer in the genre of Christian Contemporary music. He released his fist solo album, All Things Are Possible, in 1979. Over the next many years he would release fifteen albums.

As to America, despite rumours to the contrary, there was never a true reunion of the original band, although the split was amicable. Messrs. Beckley and Bunnell provided backing vocals on the song  "Love Was Just Another Word" on Mr. Peek's first album, While Mr. Beckley provided backing vocals on the title track on the album Doer of the Word. That having been said, the original America never did reunite.

I must admit that I was always a fan of America, and I always enjoyed Dan Peek's contributions to the band. He was a very good musician and also a fairly good songwriter. In my opinion, "Lonely People" was one of America's best songs. I must confess I know very little of his Christian Contemporary career. In fact, I rather doubt I have heard of any of his Christian Contemporary songs. That having been said, he was very successful as a solo artist in the genre, and I suspect his songs were quite good given his work with America. It is sad that he passed at a rather young age, having contributed to one of the best known soft rock bands of the Seventies and having been a pioneer in Christian Contemporary music.

Denise Richards talks about adoption and her baby daughter

Appearing on The View last Tuesday, Denise Richards spoke about the adoption of her youngest daughter, Eloise Joni. When she split from ex-husband Charlie Sheen, Denise knew that her family wasn't complete yet. Of course, she was overjoyed with daughters Sam, now 7, and Lola Rose, now 6, but "I've always wanted more children and had to make a decision: do I wait to find the right partner, or do it on my own?" The Real Girl Next Door author, 40, shared this on The View and added, "So I just did it on my own."

Denise also talked about the adoption process, "I was actually open to either gender and I started the process two years ago." Daughter Eloise is now 6 weeks old and the transition from a family of three to a family of four has proven to be a smooth one, big sisters Sam and Lola are very excited about their baby sister. Denise says, "The older ones are so great, the baby is such a blessing. Sami and Lola help so much and pick out her clothes and feed her."

Denise recently had a babyshower to introduce the newest addition to the 'Richards'-family. The shower proved to be exactly what Denise had wanted, "I thought she deserved it, and it was a wonderful way for my friends who hadn't met het yet to meet her."

The Swedish True Blood star, 34, and the actress, 28, started dating when shooting a remake of 1971's Straw Dogs in October 2009. April 2010, they were seen enjoying each other's company at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, all the while keeping mum about their relationship status.

In February 2010, Kate said about Alexander, "We are very good friends. He's a wonderful, wonderful man, I adore him." When pressed for more details, she replied, "That's a minefield, man! I'm not stepping into that. I've learned too well from being on that road."

Alexander said in a 2009 interview about finding Mrs. Right, "A sense of humour is No. 1, for sure. Being funny and smart is very important." Ladies, take notes...
