It's official, celebrity gossip lovers: Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are engaged to be married.
"Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage," JT's representative confirmed on Monday to www.eonline.com.
The photogenic friends with benefits have been dating for more than a year since working together on the movie "Wanderlust."
This will be the second marriage for Aniston, 43, who split from Brad Pitt after five years of wedded bliss in 2005. Pitt, of course, moved on from Aniston to Angelina Jolie, but he and Jolie haven't married.
The marriage will be the first for Theroux, 41, who split with longtime girlfriend Heidi Bivens after the tabloids linked him with Aniston last year.
No word yet on a wedding date or baby names. Stay tuned.
Scott Stapp writing tell-all
Scott Stapp, a founding member of rock outfit Creed, said Monday that he's about to deliver the goods in a tell-all memoir coming out in the fall.
The book, "Sinner's Creed," will detail the "behind-the-scenes realities about his suicide attempts, alcohol-induced rampages and intimate details about his abusive childhood," a news release promised.
USA Today reports that Stapp collaborated with David Ritz of Rolling Stone, author of the best-seller "Divided Soul: The Life of Marvin Gaye."
"My memoir reveals never-before-released details about my life and the challenges I've faced before coming to grips and finding sobriety," Stapp said in a statement. So far, there's no word on whether he'll write about the alleged naughty-time video featuring Kid Rock that was shot in Tampa, Fla., while Rock and Stapp were touring with Metallica.
"Sinner's Creed" is due Oct. 2 from Tyndale Publishing.
