YEE-HAH COWBOYS! This week's shopping task will see the Big Brother 2012 house transformed into the Wild West with housemates battling it out to not only win a luxury-shopping budget but for immunity from this week's nominations too. Exciting stuff!
The housemates must first choose who they think is the most influential and powerful member of the group. This individual will then be told that they will assume the role of house Sheriff. The Sheriff must then appoint a Deputy and divide the remaining housemates into three teams: The Good, The Bad and The Really Ugly.
The three teams will then battle it out over the next two days in a series of Wild West style challenges. At the end of the second day, the three teams will then compete in 'The Gold Rush,' where, against the clock and against each other, they will all pan for gold. Each team will be given one minute to pan for as much gold as possible. Winning a mini challenge will increase their team's time to pan by an extra minute. If the housemates accumulatively acquire the required amount of gold, they will secure a luxury-shopping budget. Additionally, the team that pans the most gold overall will win immunity from eviction. The winning team for each mini challenge is decided entirely by the housemate who has assumed the role of Sheriff.
The western inspired mini games will include 'Raw Hide' where three housemates will be locked inside stocks while their fellow housemates use their rears (yes you read correctly) as targets using paintball guns; 'The Hoedown' will see each team choreograph a group dance routine and 'Spaghetti Western' will pit the teams against each other in a spaghetti eating competition.
After 'The Gold Rush', housemates will know who is immune from this week's eviction. They will all then sit around the house campfire and be forced to make face-to-face nominations. Although this lot clearly love talking about nominations, we're not entirely sure how they'll cope when there isn't a diary room door to hide behind.
Who will be good?
At this stage of the game, it's hard to imagine any of the housemates not wanting to win immunity from eviction. Conor is in the least enviable position in the house right now so excelling at this task is his only option to avoid being up for a third week.
Who will be bad?
Deana doesn't exactly have the best track record with eating challenges so could find the Spaghetti Western task troubling (let's just hope there is no ham mixed in!). Sara could also find herself in trouble when under pressure during the final 'Gold Rush' after accidentally cheating during last week's Turf War for the bathroom.
