Hey everybody, how are things? Sioux Falls is coming along great. Jay has proven himself a true beast behind the drum kit. We've been practicing everyday and our first Portland show is coming up in early November. Needless to say, we are most psyched. As it stands now, over half of our set is new material and there are still tons more new songs we haven't even touched yet. Boy am I excited.
Today we decided it was time to record some demos. The one we're going to be sharing with you today is lo-fi by necessity. While we certainly intend our debut LP to have a much rawer sound than The Ace House Tapes, this particular demo sounds like it does because it was recorded live in a cramped room with a single cheap vocal mic- all parts simultaneously. Its very much a rough demo but its still pretty cool. It's called Indie Cred. Check it out why don'cha?
Indie Cred by Sioux Falls
It's the first documented proof of Jay's formidable chops (stick around for a new Yuppie Dinner Parties demo in the next few days to hear the him truly let loose) and as above stated, we think it sounds pretty cool.
In other news, Amy Klein, noted female guitarist for Titus Andronicus recently quit the band in order to pursue her own stuff. Tragic as it is, she has been swiftly replaced with Liam Betson, former member of Titus Andronicus and super talented solo artist in his own right. Check it out
Super cool right?
Anyway, we'll keep ya posted about the ultimate fate of our band as it unfolds in real time before us. For now, we're gonna continue working our set and trying to get shows.
Thanks for reading/hopefully listening-
Isaac
Also, I got a job- at Pita Pit so this whole thing is now a sustainable enterprise. Cool
