The Fringe is a place where non-horror genre films can get some play on Shock. These films might be sci-fi, fantasy or action - and certainly contain some horror elements - but will likely be light on scares, or, straight-up "horror." Still, they might be of interest to you.
Best known for starring as Carmen Cortez in Robert Rodriguez's original Spy Kids trilogy (she also reprised the role for an appearance in the recent Spy Kids: All the Time in the World), Alexa Vega will be making an appearance as KillJoy in the writer/director's upcoming Machete Kills and, thanks to the actress' Instagram account, we have a revealing first look at her character.

Alexa was also most recently seen in the Mother's Day remake and The Devil's Carnival.
In the sequel, ex-federale Machete (Danny Trejo) is recruited by the U.S. government to stop an arms dealer (Mel Gibson) from launching a deadly missile. Michelle Rodriguez, Demian Bichir, Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara, Zoe Saldana and Charlie Sheen also star.
