This fall, ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” is jumping on the “All Stars” bandwagon previously ridden by the likes of “The Amazing Race,” “Survivor,” “Project Runway” and “Top Chef.”
The network convinced the likes of reality star Bristol Palin (third place, season 11), vixen Pamela Anderson (sixth, season 10) and actress Kirstie Alley (second, season 12) to return.
Overall, six previous winners and three runner-ups are competing. Anderson is the celebrity who finished the lowest. Two seasons are missing for sure: seasons 6 and 9.
Though Atlanta has had several contestants on the show over the years, including season 12 winner Hines Ward, none were included in the original “All Stars” lineup. But former Atlantan Kyle Massey (second place, season 11) is one of three contestants the public can vote on to be the 13th contestant, along with Carson Kressley (eighth place, season 13) and Sabrina Ryan (seventh place, season five). I have a feeling given Massey’s superior dancing skills and electric personality, he has a solid chance to get voted in. You can vote here at www.ABC.com/DancingwiththeStars until August 24.

- Speed skater and Olympic winner Apolo Anton Ohno, winner, season 4
- Reality star Melissa Rycroft, third place, season 8
- Football star Emmitt Smith, winner, season 3
