Ids Postma and Anni Friesinger welcomed a daughter into their family. The former speed skaters named their baby girl Josephine. According to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf Anni, 37, gave birth via C-section in a hospital in Meppen, Germany. Due to the medical procedure, Anni will remain in the hospital for observation for the next couple of days.

Ids and Anni wed in 2009 in Salzburg, Austria, and in 2010 in Dearsum, Friesland, the Netherlands. Dearsum is a small village, where they live on a farm.Josephine is their first child, Anni announced last month, that they were expecting a girl.

Former speedskaters Ids Postma and Anni Friesinger are expecting a girl! Dutch celebrity tv programme Shownieuws reports that the couple will welcome a daughter this summer.

German Anni, 34, wrote in February on her blog, "We want to make it official and share our joy: I'm pregnant and this summer Ids and I are expecting our first child. We're overjoyed and are looking forward to this special time that lays ahead of us and our baby."

Dutch Ids, 37, and Anni had been a couple for many years, when they decided to tie the knot August 11th, 2009, in Salzburg, Austria. The couple married at Schloss Mirabel and the festivities took place in Schloss Aigen.

Last year the couple married in the Netherlands as well. They said their "I do's" in a small church in Deersum, in the province of Friesland. Ids is originally from Deersum and the couple lives there on a farm.
